Le téléphone IP 8861 de Cisco est doté d'un écran large couleur VGA rétroéclairé haute résolution (800 x 480) de 5 pouces (12,7 cm). Prise en charge de langues étrangères localisées, répondant aux besoins des utilisateurs internationaux.
Le téléphone offre un commutateur Gigabit Ethernet intégré pour la connexion au réseau et à votre PC.
Le téléphone prend également en charge les réseaux locaux sans fil 802.11a/b/g/n/ac des entreprises.
