La série 6800 est idéale pour les entreprises souhaitant moderniser leur système téléphonique pour passer d'un système analogique ou numérique traditionnel à un système de communication IP supportant un dispositif de contrôle des appels multiplateforme. Le 6841 ne prend pas en charge le PoE: il est idéal pour les bureaux privés ou professionnels sans PoE. Avec 4 enregistrements SIP, ce téléphone IP reste l'un des plus modestes de la gamme Cisco.
